詹姆斯近期接受了播客节目《The Pat McAfee Show》的采访，詹姆斯回应了一部分网上有关乔丹的流言。

詹姆斯说：“我穿23号是因为迈克尔-乔丹，这确实是事实。但人们说我签耐克也是因为乔丹，这我TM可没有，我跟耐克签约是因为他们给了我一份7年9000万美元的合同，我签完合同的第二天就把我妈妈搬出了穷人区。并且还因为我想穿耐克，我想穿乔丹的鞋、想穿便士的鞋、想穿博-杰克逊的鞋、想穿Air Max……”
